Spanish influences also have a major impact with Filipino recipes, Spaniards formed the elite dishes, and it is a common food for upper class Filipino during special celebration and occasion. Arroz ala Valenciana is well known Spanish inspired rice recipe in Philippines, it is a combination of special meat ingredients such as bacon, sausage, and other by meat product. The food is a well known recipe from Valencia, a coastal city in Spain. Other Filipino food which are a result of Spanish influences is Morcon (A Christmas Beef roll recipe), a favorite traditional Filipino food during Noche Buena (Pre Christmas day evening meal). Chinese is also known as one of the major influences on Filipinos culture and cuisines. Just like in any part of the world, you could find China town in the heart of Manila, capital city of Philippines. You could always find their business establishment that trades for Chinese goods and products, Philippines New Year celebration is also pattern in the method of Chinese celebrating their own, by welcoming the New Year with firecracker for the belief that too much noise will cast away bad spirit for the following year. Aside from Filipinos New Year celebration on December 31st , we also celebrate their Chinese New year by preparing tikoy (sticky Chinese dainties) and watching dragon dance, the celebration is non working holiday that just prove how important the celebration was. Majority of Filipinos are Chinese food lover, it is clearly visible as there are lots of Chinese restaurant on every commercial area of the country. Among the favorite Chinese food that we Filipino loved are Mami (Chicken or Beef Noodle recipe), siomai or dimsun, Sweet and sour fish or pork, Chopsuey, Lomi, Maki and lots more. Filipino also loves to stir fry the way Chinese prepare their food too.

Spanish and Chinese are the major influences on Filipino food and cuisine, their culinary recipe has become a part of our day to day live as it becomes a part of our daily recipe. Their food and recipe will surely be as one of most favorite menu in Philippine dishes in coming years to come.
