Spanish Property Developments - Do They Represent Value?
Spanish Property Developments - Do They Represent Value
?
A question I was asked the other day are key ready new developments a good deal or is there better value elsewhere in Spain. The simple answer to this particular question is it depends what you are looking to buy and where. Obviously you will be driven by you budget and in the majority of cases a prospective will not be able to afford prime location property. So it normally comes down to that wonderful choice Location V Property that we have all seen on so many overseas property programs such as A Place in The Sun. So if getting a really nice property with stylish surroundings in your bag then a key ready new development which has been discounted by at least 40% does make great financial sense so much so in some parts of Spain you couldn't build the properties for the price you're paying when you take into account your share of the professional fees and infrastructure costs. Now however if you're on a relatively low budget and location is the most important thing then a key read development really won't be for you. The reality here is the best locations were built first and therefore the properties you are likely to be offered are going to be at least 15 years old and probably more. The magic cut off period for Apartments in the year 2000 as that is when EU standards came into play and anything built after that should be of a better quality than what went before. Obviously if you not limited to a particular budget then you should be able to find the best of both words top brand new quality in the best location with the only drawback that you won't necessarily find any great discounts. As they say it's the oldest decision in the book Location against property and you pay your money and make your choice.
