? Is speed and your car your passion? Do you want to upgrade or make a little money off an old car you no longer need? Cars, speed, power, competition is nothing new for car buffs. The Utah Bonneville Salt Flats and Daytona have been home to passionate land speed racers for almost a century.
The Bonneville Salt Flats is so barren that not even the simplest life forms can exist. It is so flat that it feels as if you can see the curvature of the world. It is so hot in the summer that you could probably cook an egg on a rock. It is so big it covers more than 30,000 acres, and yet draws thousands of visitors each year. Why do they come to such a forsaken place? Bonneville is synonymous with fast and racecars. Bonneville Salt Flats has seen racing cars since 1914 when Tezlaff drove a Blitzen Benz to set an unofficial record of 141.73 mph.
The 1930's saw an increase in people as the Bonneville Salt Flats and became the standard course for worlds land speed records. A vacation destination for speed buff.
The 1960's saw the introduction of jet powered vehicles and previous land speed barriers were shattered. Gary Gabolich's rocket car, "Blue Flame" broke all land records when it cruised across the salt flats at 622.4 mph. All speed barriers have been broken on the Salt Flats through the years, the 300, 400, 500 and 600 mph. Hundreds of records have been broken on this course since that inaugural run of 1914.
Cars and speed, what is it that peeks imaginations and passion for cars, engines and speed. NASCAR racing compels people to sit for hours watching cars race around a track. The passion never waning as the clock ticks on. NASCAR sanctions three of the largest racing series with the Sprint Cup Series, The Nationwide Series and the Camping World Truck Series. NASCAR races are broadcast to more than 150 countries and boast 75 million fans. Only professional football holds more viewers than NASCAR.
A group of drivers in Daytona Beach, Florida founded NASCAR on March 8, 1936. The drivers brought hardtops, sports cars, convertibles, and coupes to compete for the title of fastest cars, and best drivers. While the sport is alive and well, and graining in popularity, it comes at a premium price. These high-powered beauties are expansive. What car isn't? Cars are a major investment and come with hefty price tags affixed.
With cash for cars in Brooklyn and cash for cars in Queens, you can cash in an extra car you no longer need. Everyone loves cars; they love speed, the roar of the engine and the thrill of competition. Get cash for your old car so you can buy the car of your dreams or visit the Salt Flats or a NASCAR race.
