Spice Girls Bring It For The Closing Ceremonies: Victoria Beckham Wows The Crowd

What maybe has become the most eagerly anticipated element of the London Games Closing

Ceremony is the reunion of the Spice Girls, and one of them in particular stole the spotlight.

Victoria Beckham, AKA Posh Spice now a fashion designer but also global icon and media maven was front and center for much of the performance, which involved the Spice Girls singing their hits on top of cabs driving around the Olympic Stadium. The cars came together in the center of the stadium stage, and Posh Spice was in the center of the group when the cabs came to a stop.

Victoria showed off her slender legs in a very short black mini dress which she teamed with burgundy red velvet boots as the fearsome fivesome played out their performance. Its been a long time since Victoria Beckham channeled her Posh Spice style, but tonight fans were in for a treat. The mother of four was a humungous fixation during the London 2012 Olympic closing ceremony wearing an outfit that she certainly would have worn back in the Spice Girls heyday.

Despite all the rumors that the singer turned fashion designer wanted this performance to be the groups last, she certainly seemed to be enjoying herself as she strutted her stuff on top of a black taxi cab.

Her fellow glamour goddess members looked equally dazzling in costumes that reflected their famous nicknames from their Spice Girls heyday. Mel B showed off her curves in a sheer, gold-embellished Zuhair Murad bodysuit that matched her brightly bold personality perfectly, while Emma Bunton reflected her girly Baby Spice image in a hot pink mini dress with sparkling futuristic shoulder detailing. Sporty Mel C teamed her white and silver jumpsuit with matching wedge heel trainers and Geri Halliwell paid homage to her now famous Union Jack dress in a flirty red number with ruffles made from the British flag adorning the back. British singer Jessie J also stayed true to her sassy image in a selection of three bodysuits.

Victoria teamed the dress with fierce black patent heels, smoky eye-make-up and flowing locks. Beckham chose a sexy yet sophisticated strapless frock by Giles Deacon for what is believed to be the final performance of the five piece glamour band. The beaded mullet style creation featured cut out panels that gave the illusion of strips of fabric being layered across a sheer bodice and fitted the mother of four like a glove.

Though not everyone seemed impressed by their performance as the negative Tweets started rolling in immediately, there was no lack of charisma as the band seemed to emulate confidence in their stage presence. Only leaving time to tell if this in fact, will be The Spice Girls final performance. But one thing is for sure; its likely to be the most talked about performance of the year. And by the looks of it, they dont seem to mind being the center of everyones attention and adulteration, again!!!!
