During the beach getaway, couples can dine by candlelight, have massages, sun themselves on the sandy beach, and watch the sunset each night. In an island hotel, there will be soft beds, hula dancers, and happy hours where the drinks are decorated with tiny umbrellas and the glasses contain pineapple or coconut grown locally. In a cabin, there can be romantic evenings in front of the fireplace, hikes into nature, and cozy nights under down comforters. These adult vacations can refuel parents' tanks so they can deal with raising their children once again. Kids can be wondrous but they take lots of daily energy.

For adult vacations that are a bit more adventurous, there are lots of wilder possibilities. Going to Sin City, AKA Las Vegas, to see shows, go to nightclubs, and do some gambling can provide some grownups-only entertainment. There are also cruises dedicated to singles or couples that don't allow children on board. Some cruise ships are tame enough while others are floating opportunities for some serious partying by swingers and nudists alike. This can work for spouses who are committed to each other but who would like to explore some uncharted territory. Nudists can take cruises aboard totally nude ships or aboard ships that have "clothing optional" invitations. Some cruises have a mixture so singles or couples can sail the seas and decide whether they feel like shedding their clothes and venturing out of their comfort zone or not. There's something pretty freeing about being sans clothing to sever all restrictions of the normal workaday world. On nude cruises, you won't have to pack much! There is no worrying about what to wear. Luckily these ships mainly tour around in warmer climates, so the temperatures lend themselves to nudity.

When adult vacations are over, individuals and couples can head back to their normal life with kids and jobs. Post-vacationers can step back into their accountant suits, grab their briefcases, and savor the memories of everything from mild times on the beach to wild times on the ocean.
