Spiritual Growth with The Tarot - 1, THE MAGICIAN

By TarotMeister, CTM

The Magician stands behind a table with all the materials he needs in front of him; Earth, Air, Fire and Water represented by the four Tarot suits, Pentacles, Swords, Wands and Cups. They're the same objects he brought to Earth with him as the Fool. Presently, however, he is in this lifetime and has to ascertain how to contend with it. He reaches upward for the Force above him (that Higher Self within us) and, with his left forefinger, concentrates this power to the garden before him. He takes the higher vibrations from Spirit and conveys it to this material world. He's concentrating his full attention to this operation.

The Magician represents our self-aware (conscious) mind, the plane of mind which directs our attention.

When we study The Magician, it can help us in remembering that we are, indeed, in control of this life experience. As individualized expressions of The Absolute, we do have the power to create our own reality.

What this requires is recognizing our Higher Power and committing our total attention to whatever we would like to bring forth in our life on a systematic basis in meditation.

Each of us is The Magician. We have the power to bring about in our existence that upon which we concentrate our attention. Unfortunately, most of us center our attention on all the things that went awry today and all the things we anticipate to most likely go amiss tomorrow. In thinking this way, we create precisely that which we do not desire, day in and day out, . We must determine to think in a positive way, to focus our attention upon that which we'd wish to have occur in our life-experience and sincerely believe that we will get it!

In your meditation, endeavor to "visualize" the things you want. Try to make them "feel" like the reality of your world. "Picture" them as already here, already part of your world. Do not allow any negative thoughts to remain in your consciousness. As you become aware of them, immediately modify them. Say, "DELETE," and mean it! Change the psychic depiction to match that which you desire. This is NOT always easy. As a matter of fact, to be truthful, it never is. However with practice, it gets easier and easier as time goes on.

Try it out! See how much more fortunate your reality becomes. And remember what The Fool taught you, none of this "stuff" really counts in the end in any event. It cannot damage you, the real you, in any way, so you don't have to worry about it.

When you contemplate on The Magician, it can help you to remember that you genuinely DO create your own reality, day after day. To create the reality you want, The Magician will remind you where to put your attention.
