Nowadays, sports, rather all sports is played just on the playing fields, but at various levels. And one of them is reflected in the number of Sports Books that are written every year and year after year describing the sheer struggle and the never say die attitudes of various sport men and women who have dedicated their entire youth and, in turn,lives to their respective sports. Of course, there can be any number of sports books on individual sports explaining to the readers the way the particular game is played or even a more general one on say rugby, soccer or cricket. The thing with sports books is that there are milions of people all over who are not actually playing any sport, but would rather know more about different sports and Computer Books, in turn about sports men and women.

You really do not need to be a marketing guru to predict that a book titled "How to Defeat the Poms?" would be a total sell out in Australia now. We never had this big a success in the Ashes in recent memory and it does look like this winning trend is going to coninue in the rest of the series as well.

You can also have sports books on the adminstrative and training side of it In more and more sports, the professionals and others who are directly involved in the running of the sports realise the need for good coaches and psychologists whose prime jobwould be to keep the players always in the right confident spirits irrespective of the recent results they have been able to come out with.

Brian Moore has won the 'Sports Book of the Year Award' for 2010 for his autobiography titled 'Beware of the Dog".
