Spring is here and so is spring cleaning. Spring cleaning as we know it generally applies to the home you are living in. For those who are into internet dating, it may be the time to think about spring cleaning your profile as well. How do you do that I here you ask. Well, the answer is simple. Just go through the profile that you have set up on the dating site that you are currently using for your online dating activity and look at it again and see how you can improve things. How much change that you make will depend on the kind of result that you've been getting so far? If you have been getting some result, but not to your satisfaction then maybe just tweaking a few things here and there will do it. If on the other hand you've been getting minimal result then you may need to make a complete overhaul. Here are some ideas to help get started:

Photos.

Take a second look at the pictures that you've chosen for your favorite dating website. Now just ask yourself, can you do better? How can you improve them? Most people won't spend much time choosing their photo when they first started with a dating site. That is simply because they don't know how beneficial putting up a decent photo in the initial stages might be. Now that you know have a look again and judge by yourself if your photos are up to scratch. You may need to change your primary photo. Anyone who does not know what a primary photograph is, it's the photo which is seen when your profile pops up in a search result.

Your general profile

Review your Essays once more and see if you can make it better. Should you be one of those with the standard 'friendly, thoughtful, charming...' type of essay, you may want to consider how you can add something more original.

Review your profile in general and see if there is something that needs adding or deleting. This is not the same as lying. It's just that things change over time. For example, you may have given up smoking or started a new hobby.

Look through the parts that you failed to complete the first time round either because you weren't sure what to put in or you didn't have time and see if you can complete your profile on this visit. It will provide more details about you and you will give other people a better impression of you as an individual.
