St Patrick's Day Invitation Ideas To Let Guests Know There'll Be A Wee Bit O' Malarkey Goin' On

Paddy's day bash, we've got some ideas for invitations that will bring out the Irish in us all. Start by sending out a great invitation that will entice your friends to want to go green. Get everyone in the mood and looking forward to your St. Paddy's Day party. Be sure to remind everyone to wear a wee bit of green or they will get a wee bit of a pinch. Get ready to set the tone of your party with some fun invites. Here's several ideas to help get you started:

Leprechaun Invites

You can make your leprechaun invites from a picture of a leprechaun that is downloaded. Alternatively, if you are able to find some leprechaun cut-outs, you could use them for the basis of the invite. Another option would be to use postcards that have a leprechaun on them. Regardless of the method you select, you will need to write the party info on the back. Pop those little "Leppies" into an envelope and mail them off to your fun-lovin' guests.

Leprechaun Hat Invites

You can make your leprechaun hat invites from a picture of a leprechaun hat that is downloaded or you could opt to buy some plastic leprechaun hats and use them instead. Write out your party details on a decorative piece of scrapbook paper that has a St. Patrick's Day theme. Trim the edges using decorative scissors, laminate, hole-punch upper left-hand corner, and run a green and white ribbon through the hole and tie to the hat. Hand-deliver your invites to your prospective guests. Be sure to instruct them to wear their "invites" to your St. Patrick's Day party.

Pot-O-Gold Invites

Start by creating your pot-o-gold invites by using small black pots, like the cauldrons used at Halloween, and fill them with gold foil wrapped chocolate coins. Write out your party details on a decorative scrapbook paper that has a St. Paddy's Day theme. Trim the edges using decorative scissors, laminate, hole-punch upper left-hand corner, and run a green, white, or gold ribbon through the hole and tie to the pot. Hand-deliver your invites to your prospective guests.

Rainbow Invites

Rainbow invites could be made from but cutting various colored card stock, construction paper, or colored paper into various sized arch shapes to create the rainbow. If you aren't feeling like you want to put in the time to do your rainbows up right, then you could opt for using a piece of scrapbook paper that has a rainbow background instead. Be sure to put a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. You could either write the party details on the various bands of color or write them on a piece of gold paper and put it into the pot. Be sure to make it possible for your recipients to remove the "gold" so they know where to go for all the St. Paddy's Day malarkey.

Shamrock-Shaped Invites

You can make your shamrocks from green card stock, construction paper, or colored paper, or you could opt to use shamrock-shaped cut-outs instead. Put all your party details on one side and hand-deliver or mail out your invites.

Here's some ideas of what to write inside your invites:

Callin' All Lads & Lasses,

Join Us For A St. Paddy's Day Bash!
