One good way to win in StarCraft 2 is with a templar rush
. When we say StarCraft 2 Templar, we are obviously referring to the use of dark templars or DT as it is commonly called by other avid players. These high powered melee units can wipe out an entire enemy base if you can manage to deploy quite a number of them as early as possible.
A StarCraft 2 Templar or even its original counterpart in the first release is so powerful that it has a high powered swing over the first units you can have as a protoss - a zealot. The secret to this is that it is permanently cloaked and can only be seen by detectors such as an Observer, a Scanner Sweeper, and Overseers. You can also use buildings like photon cannon, turret, or a spore crawler to detect such unseen units.
Imagine having 2 or even 3 zealot unit damage in just a single dark templar. And the best part is, it is permanently invisible that makes it best to use early on. One way to master how to use such units in a rush is to have the proper build order that will enable you to develop a mass number of them faster than your opponent does.
Remember, executing the proper build order for a dark templar rush will be the key to victory in most of your games. Bear in mind that the only way to make this type of strategy effective is to surprise your opponent with just a single blow.
If you get lucky in your first wave, then you are certain enough to win. However, lots of players will have a counter to a StarCraft 2 Templar rush. Be sure to have a plan B if your rush did not quite do the job.
