Starcraft 2 TvT Strategy - Early Economy Harassment
In Starcraft 2, the Terran vs Terran matchup is a very interesting one to play
. A lot of times both players will go for the exact same units and whoever controls their units and bases better is the victor. Here's a strategy that you can use to change it up on your opponents and find a chink in their armor to take the win.
Start off with an early proxy Barracks built at 8 or 10 supply. Immediately start making Marines and send your first Marine into your opponent's base with your SCV (that built the Barracks) leading the way. If he has a Marine your SCV will soak up the damage and you'll be able to kill his Marine. Keep sending Marines in and kill as many SCVs as you can, this can lead to a pretty good economic lead.
From there immediately tech to Banshees and research cloak. Your opponent will be recovering from your early pressure and will not likely have defenses up to fend off your Banshee. Kill off any Marines you find and cloak if it looks like he'll overpower you. If he scans you fly away immediately and out of scan range to continue your attack elsewhere. Remember every scan he uses means he won't be able to get the extra minerals from calling down MULES.
After doing as much harassment as you can, transition into Tanks, Vikings and Marauders. Keep your macro up so you can produce a big army and you should be able to simply outmass him if nothing else. Since you did damage to his economy throughout the game he should be behind you as long as you have had good macro.
