Spring Break has sadly come and gone for most high school and college students, but don't let that get you down! Start planning your summer adventures now and get a jump start on the best of the best when it comes to flights, hotels, and activities. With summer break only a few months away, starting now leaves ample time for storing funds, booking flights, getting your passport up to date and of course deciding where to go!

Odds are you will want somewhere warm and exotic, like the Bahamas, Hawaii, Australia, etc., but don't forget about the less traveled to countries like Africa, Scotland, Ireland and others. Visiting a country that isn't number one on the student trip list is a rewarding experience and can teach a lot about life in general. Take Africa for example. It isn't number one on the summer break adventurous trip list, but where else will you see elephants and tigers in the wild, and go on an African safari?

When going to Africa, don't forget the necessities of African travel, cool clothes for the day, and warm clothes for the night and plenty of room for photographs. Africa gets extremely cold during the night when the sun goes down. Also, don't forget to change over your cell phone plan to an international plan. You may not have service on the savannah, but at least you know if you needed it, and had the bars, it wouldn't cost you the rest of your tuition savings or graduation gift money. One thing that you wouldn't probably have to worry about if you were traveling to a typical vacation spot would be travel vaccines, but when traveling to Africa, you need to make sure you are fully up to date on all of the proper travel vaccinations. Yellow Fever, Typhoid, Rabies, Meningitis, Polio, Malaria, and Cholera, are all vaccinations and preventative medications that should be considered before traveling to Africa. Consult your doctor or a professional travel vaccine clinic about what immunizations and preventative medications for travel are suggested for your destination as well as important travel tips. A trip with no worries of illness would be as they say in The Lion King, Hakuna Matata!
