Starting A Blog Is Easier Than You Think
Starting a blog can be a great way to generate traffic and money online. It's never been easier for a complete newbie to get into blogging. There are only 4 steps to get your blog up and running. After reading this article, you'll be able to start blogging today!
Step 1. Buy A Domain, And Get Web Hosting
While I know there are many free blogging platforms you can use that you don't have to pay for, I don't recommend them for any sort of blogs you hope to earn money from. The reason being that when you're not in control of your blog (you don't own your blog) the company you write your free blog through can shut it down whenever they want, and ultimately shut off your income stream. That's why I recommend buying your own domain and hosting account. Then you have complete control.
Think of a domain that is applicable to your niche. If I wanted to be in the weight loss niche for instance, I would want to buy a domain name like www.loseweighttoday.com . Now if you're scared about getting on the internet because you don't know about all that "techy" stuff, don't worry. GoDaddy offers hosting that comes pre-installed with the Wordpress platform. All you have to do is purchase it and they literally do the rest. It's that easy to get a blog started.
Step 2. Customize
Once you buy your domain you're ready to start making your blog unique. With the word press platform they make it very easy to customize. Just Google "free wordpress themes" and you'll get a ton of results. You can completely customize how you want your blog to look. There's everything from 1 to 3 column layouts, different backgrounds, different graphics, different blog features, and different blog plug-ins you can use to enhance your new blog. Once you find a design you like, download the zip file. Then go to your blog admin panel and load it into the appearances menu and activate it. Voila! You've now customized your blog.
Step 3. Add Content
Now that you've customized your blog you need to start adding valuable content. Unless this is a personal blog about your daily life, keep the content relevant to your niche. Since I mentioned the weight loss niche earlier, I would want to make sure my content provided tips for losing weight, or reviews of some weight loss products. Anything that niche would find helpful. You want to provide massive value to readers, so they'll want to continue reading your blog. If writing isn't your thing, you can always hire an article ghost writer to do it for you.
Step 4. Advertise
There are many ways to advertise your blog. Depending on your budget you can decide which technique to use. Just make sure you have valuable content on your blog so when you get visitors they find your blog a knowledgeable and informative.
That's really all you need to get your new blog up and running. As I said, it's never been easier to get a blog up and running. With a little time, effort, and creativity, you can easily turn your blog into a money making machine.
