Starting An Online Business - Here's A Six-Step Approach To Building A Successful Internet Business

If you want to earn a few hundred extra dollars per week using the Internet but aren't sure how or where to start, don't worry as you aren't alone. Today, there are thousands of people who are turning to the Internet to earn a part-time and even a full-time income, and some are even pulling in 6-7 figures every year. If you want to be one of the lucky ones who actually builds a real successful Internet business then you'll have to know exactly what it takes.

Below I've outlined a six-step process of exactly what you should be doing in order to make money online. Instead of searching for some miracle scheme that is going to make you money, following a proven system is the best way to make a ton of money online. Here is my six-step process for success:

Step 1 - Find the right niche for you

The most important key to building a successful business is getting into a niche that you enjoy so that you'll want to stick with it for the long run. One of the biggest mistakes you can make online is going into a particular arena because you think there's tons of money to be made there, even though you aren't interested in it. The best way to ensure you'll stick with your business is to go into something you love, and don't worry because there is lots of money to be made in almost any niche.

Step 2 - Create a free product

Once you're in a niche, you'll want to create a free product that you can give away to your audience as a way to get the word out about you and your business.

Step 3 - Give your free product to people through a squeeze page

The next step is to create what is known as a 'squeeze page' or an 'top-in page'. These are simply pages designed to offer your product to your audience in exchange for their name and email addresses, which gets them into your database so you can continue to communicate with them in the future.

Step 4 - Create a sales funnel

A key to success online is having a system in place that propels people through your sales funnel on an automated basis. You can do this right from your autoresponder, which is also the tool you use to set up your squeeze page.

Step 5 - Funnel people through it systematically

You want to send people emails regularly but not so often or so infrequent as to annoy them and/or allow them to forget that you are there. A good idea is to simply send an email or two every week reminding people of your products and give them good information.

Step 6 - Offer value and offer product to your leads

The ultimate step to success is to offer more than you expect in return, as this is going to give you great rewards in the long-run. What this means is send lots of free, high-quality information without being too pushy and also returning emails when your leads have questions for you.

Following these steps will put you on the path for success in building your Internet business.
