Stay In Prague's City Centre

Prague can be a great destination for a cultural mini break

, and lots of people enjoy wandering around the city with their friends or loved ones and admiring the architecture. There is a lot to see and do in Prague, and the city has a wide array of entertainments and tourist attractions such as theatres, opera houses, gardens, parks, picturesque squares, a castle, and a zoo.

The city also has a number of old bridges which have been the sites of many historic battles. Prague has a wide variety of architecture throughout the city, and this ranges through many different time periods and styles such as Bohemian and Gothic. The city enjoys much of this architecture in its original form, and Prague suffered much less aerial bombing during the Second World War than other cities such as London or Paris. Whilst the Blitz caused damage to many precious historical buildings across Europe, Prague was spared having to repair too much of their architecture. The Astronomical Clock is a particularly famous historical tourist attraction in the city, and it features an hourly show of figurines of the apostles. It is set in a picturesque square, and many tourists gather every hour to hear it chime.

If you are thinking about visiting Prague, hotels in or near to the city centre can make a great base from which to explore the city during both the day and the night. Many hotels will be located very close to the main tourist areas or to the city's Old Town and this can offer you some of the city's finest theatres, restaurants and attractions, all within walking distance. When you are researching and booking a mini break in Prague, hotels in and around the centre of the city should be relatively easy to find.

There are many different ratings and options for you to choose from; such what style of board you would like during your stay. Whilst many hotels and inns can offer a restaurant and bar on site, many people like to get out and about and explore after dark in Prague; hotels in the city should have good transport links to help you get around easily. When you are visiting Prague, hotels in the city centre give you a great opportunity to take an evening stroll and find a restaurant to eat in, and perhaps a bar for after dinner drinks.

When you are visiting Prague, hotels in and around the city centre should be close to a Metro station to help you get out and about; Prague has a metro system very similar to that of Paris or London, and there are stops dotted around frequently throughout the city. Finding a hotel near to a metro stop is a good idea, as you will be able to get to your chosen destinations quickly and easily. Prague is a great destination to visit either with friends or a loved one, or perhaps even with a special relative as a treat for Mother's Day or a special birthday!
