A steam mop is a household chore equipment,which is used to clean the floor. Numerous and varied products are available in the shopping market nowadays. However, using them without proper handling could cause a messy work especially on your bare feet. This is a result of mopping back and forth on your floor, either wooden or ceramic.

To minimize this kind of problem during floor mopping, you can utilize the following strategies. These should help you prevent, making a messy output on the floor after it has been cleaned and shined with such efforts. These strategies would guide you on how to use a steam mop and do an excellent cleaning job.

In order for it to achieve an excellent cleaning job, you will have to use important tools and strategy such as

1) Vacuum Cleaner or Floor brush,

2) A pair of socks,

3) A steam mop (of course),

4) Cleaning pad and wood polish

5) Keeping traffic away.

To begin your cleaning task, start by making sure that the floor is spotless by using vacuum cleaner that would sweep out any spots or dirt on the floor. Next, move some furniture if highly needed, so you would have a convenient way of removing dirt and dust all around your home.

Before firing up your mop, put on your pair of socks to prevent any footprint to mark the way, while cleaning the floor. Steammers are available in a variety of brands, but they all come with the same function and procedure and that is, the use of water. Remember that you should use clean water, when using a steam mop. Then, start the cleaning task beginning from the areas near the walls, and then to the central area in your room or house.

After doing the steam mopping step, the next thing to do is make the floor shiny by polishing it with a wooden polish and cleaning pad and keeping your socks worn all the way.

To avoid further markings of footprints all the way, make sure to keep traffic away or prevent further walking around the floor for at least two hours after the floor has been thoroughly cleaned. The best time to clean the floor is during the day, like when the kids are still in school or during night-time such that everybody else is asleep. This would make the wooden floor clean and dry before everybody moves around it.
