As such, it will never get dull or ugly, possessing the unique ability to keep its shine and glitter for as long as the building or structure exists. No extra money or time subsequently needs to go into the maintenance of preserving the beauty of steel. The same basic principle also applies to keeping pests and insects from making nests inside the steel, seeing as it is practically impossible. Compare this to wooden buildings and structures that are continuously hampered by such a problem and can only be rectified by means of spending money and time that were not budgeted for eventually. Steel is also rust-resistant, thereby eliminating the exact same problem.

After reading the above information, it should be quite clear that the maintenance related with steel structures is quite minimal. This is in stark contrast to wood and brick, the other two traditional building materials. Unless you seek a unique look and feel which only a building material other than steel is able to give you, there is no real point in not using steel.
