Steps to Get Indexed and Ranked in Search Engines

You will find some indexing problem with your Site in Search Engines like Google

, Yahoo, and Bing after publishing your site with good and rich-information content in it. You would have submitted your site or blog in all which I has mentioned above, but still you cannot find your site listed in major Search Engine.

Why your site is not indexed? What might be the problem with your site?

This article will answer the above questions on indexing issues with your Site in most of the Search Engines.

Does Google or others hate your site?

The answer is NO; they will not have any Site's that contain a good and unique content with a good Site architecture.

If your Site or Blog is not yet indexed, then do not worry about it, I have given a checklist to make sure that you have done it before having a look at indexing in Google, Yahoo, Bing etc..

Checklist:

i. Follow the guidelines and rules of the Search Engines and make your site Search Engine Friendly.

ii. Make sure that you have a unique and relevant content in your page rather than keeping irrelevant content with different title for your pages.

iii. Do not use flash content or JavaScript, because crawlers may find some difficulty to crawl and index your Site pages.

iv. The "ALT" attributes of image tag should be more descriptive and it has to be more accurate.

v. Check for the broken links within your Site pages and correct those links as soon as possible.

vi. Submit your Site or Blog in Google, Yahoo, Bing and others. If you did not submit your Site or Blog yet, then you can do it now by visiting the below links.

b. Yahoo,

vii. Submit your sitemap in above Search Engines to let them know about your site pages and your site architecture through the webmaster account.

viii. Submit a video sitemap if you are having a videos in your site.

ix. Make sure that the robots.txt file in your Site's root directory allows to crawl your pages, if it is not then edit as such it will allow the Search Engine to do it.

If you are done with the above steps, then be calm and wait for some time to get your pages indexed by the Google and others.
