A statement from the Jobs family confirmed the death of the former CEO. Steve died peacefully today surrounded by his family, starts the statement. Bill Gates: the Rival in Sorrow

Bill Gates, co-founder of Microsoft Corp. and a longtime rival of Jobs immediately released a statement saying it had been an insanely great honor to work with Jobs.
