"You must become that trusted leader for your prospects"
Becoming a leader for your prospects means that you are a problem solver and you are constantly providing them with information that helps them achieve what they want to achieve. Start helping your prospects with what they need to be successful and they will follow you.
Referring again to the leader example above, Do you think that your favorite manager knew everything? No they didn't! BUT they were either really good at thinking on their feet or they were tenacious about going out and getting the knowledge they needed to be more effective leaders. So how do you establish yourself as a leader? You must align yourself with a great mentor or you must go out and get that knowledge for yourself. I would submit to you that the latter example will be a painstakingly long process full of trial and error.
The good news is there ARE some really great leaders in the internet marketing profession and you can learn what you need to be successful from them. Does that mean you are going to be able to follow a guru and be the next greatest thing to hit the internet? Unfortunately No, BUT you can shorten the learning curve and start or correct your internet business using their proven methods. Knowing that you are not an EXPERT, What will you do differently TODAY?
The easiest thing you can do is start sharing your story with the people you meet on-line. Give honest reviews of the tools that have helped you the most or the least and explain why. If you find a particularly helpful tool, share it. The most important thing you can do is INVEST in your own education. The more you know, the more you can share and ultimately the more valuable you are to those you wish to lead.
