Stop That Irritating Drippy Lullaby With Faucet Repair

Have you ever been tormented by the constant drip of a leaky faucet

? Maybe it's coming from your master bathroom so you find yourself falling asleep to an unpleasant drippy lullaby. Maybe it's down the hall in the guest's bathroom so you can pretend that it doesn't even exist. Either way, the need for faucet repair is probably hanging out somewhere in the back of your mind.

It's enough to practically drive a person insane. I remember when my family went on a road trip to visit my grandmother one year, and there was a leaky faucet in her main bathroom. I guess it had never bothered her. She must be an exception to the rule that leaky faucets drive people to the point of insanity, but I know that my mom was going nuts within days of arriving.

My mom ended up going to the hardware store several times trying to get what she needed to fix the problem. Even though my mom is a pretty good fixit woman, this particular project was a bit of a frustration.

Plumbing is always a bit trickier than your average fix it job. It seems like you can almost count on the fact that when you're trying to do one of those do it yourself plumbing jobs you're going to need to make a few trips to the store. This requires plenty of patience in its self, and the fact that my grandmother's house was over a hundred years old added its own unique complication.

When my mom finished the project my grandmother was grateful, but I'm pretty sure that even though she'd been dealing with the problem for months on end, my mom was still more relieved than her to be rid of the constant dripping lullaby.

I guess some people have more patience for such things than others. I personally fall in to the same category as my mom. With every drop from the faucet, I'm thinking about my pay check going down the drain.

On the other hand, it just seems to me that with all the complication and frustration that can be involved with faucet repair, it makes a lot more sense to get a little bit of help from someone who knows what they are doing than to burn up all your money on fuel while you are going back and forth to the hard ware store.
