There is a set of basic guidelines on wearing a wig. First, you have to remove the wig from your head carefully, while peeling off adhesives on the edges of the wig with utmost caution.Then, put the wig on a Styrofoam head or anything that can hold the wig well. Such will hold the wig firmly in place as it should be for more efficient storing.

Set your wig away from heat, dust, or any other conditions related to the environment as it may cause severe damages to the wig. It is best to have your wig stored in a very clean spot, as well as in an open space free from any contaminants that may ruin the structure of the wig. A wig should only be placed in a tight or enclosed container when on travel.

Also, keep your wig in any elevated spots or relatively high places that are out of reach from children and pets, as you do not want your wig to be trashed and damaged or to be played upon for dress up games by children. Put it in your own room to reduce the chances of having such an unfortunate event from happening.

You should also buy a wire rack to store your wigas this is a viable alternative for the Styrofoam head. The wire rack will allow the air to circulate all throughout your wig, thus ventilating it and keeping it as fresh as possible.

Lastly, place your wig very carefully in an ideal portable travelling case for storage during travels or trips to somewhere else. By having a right portable storage for your wig, you can rest assured that your wig will not get crushed or ruin its form during your travels.
