"The Book of Eli" is based on the vagabond trooper named Eli featuring Denzel Washington (Remember the Titans). In this futuristic movie, Eli's reality is a post-apocolyptic United States. In this futuristic film there is no establishment, no peace officers, no one to stop Carnegie except Eli.

Eli is something of a reluctant warrior, but he is hell-bent on maintaining the safety of this beloved possesion. All around him are stark realiazations of how far his world has turned into. The infrastructure have been fled, the avenues are mostly destroyed, the geography has been seared and farms left to rot. Thugs run each city and rule the countryside. Anarchy is all around. When you watch this movie you willsee a man that puts his life in peril to realize his task and is buoyed by his hope in the good of the earth and a hope for the future. With his mantra he does what he to continue his journey. He realizes the power held in this only remaining book and only one other human knows this also and that soul is Carnegie.

Carnegie's own step-daughter Solara played by Milas Kunis (Extact) is drawn to Eli and is intrigued in him. She understands that what he offers maybe an escape beyondthe life of Solara's step-father's grip. Our hero will not be sidetracked easily and will let nothing stop him from reaching the goal. Even an hardened mercenary thug played by Ray Stevenson (Punisher: War Zone) finds him a more than worthy enemy. On th way to his destination, his quest takes some bizarre turns before it finally comes to an end and you will realize just what a surpising ending it is.
