Strength Through Stair Lifts

Im not the type of person you would usually expect to use home stairlifts

. Im twenty seven, Im strong, and I love playing sports. But the reason I need help getting up the stairs is that last year I suffered a severe injury to my legs when I was involved in a car accident. When I first came around the doctors thought I wouldnt be able to walk again. Its been a very gradual process, but Im gradually regaining some muscle strength in my legs, and Im beginning to walk again with crutches. Its been a long recovery, and it wasnt so long ago that I was able to come back to live at home.

We knew that Id have trouble using the stairs, and so my girlfriend suggested we have a look at some home stairlifts. My first reaction was one of incredulity. Me, use a stair lift? My grandpas got one of those! But after my girlfriend went online and did some research, she showed me what she found. And the more we read about them, the less the idea of having one at our place seemed ridiculous and the more it started to make a lot of sense.

Obviously home stairlifts arent exactly the must have fixture in order to keep up with home design trends. But instead of the hideous eyesores I expected to find, there was a genuinely attractive range, and I actually got quite involved in deciding actually which one was right for me. My girlfriend is quite particular about the style and look of our flat. Shes really into simple, refined colour schemes and hushed, warm interiors. We found a few products that looked like they could potentially work well in our place. But then my girlfriend noticed that you can get bespoke incline assisters made. We were thrilled by the idea that we could create the stair lift for us, perfectly suited to our specifications. We chose the materials, the colours, and the style. And it really blends in perfectly with the apartment. Many people dont even seem to notice it when they come to visit. Those who do notice always say how surprised they are to find such an attractive one. My best friend was so pleased when he came over and saw it, since he had been looking for one for his mother. Hes just had a bespoke one made for her too, and she loves it!
