Stretch Marks: Just A Few Basics

The general public has been introduced to stretch marks

. They are known the world over. They are a universal problem. Everyone knows what they are. And no one likes them.

And more than not liking them...many do NOT want to accept them. They don't feel as if they deserve this marking that disrupts their body's natural aesthetic's. The industry offers countless preventive solutions in the form of lotion and potion and cream and rub...but none of them seem to offer effective results.

Preventing the creation of stretch marks is tough; very tough. If it was easy someone would have figured it out by now. And if preventing stretch marks is tough...removing them is nearly impossible. At least it was until recently. The FDA recently approved the first Fractional Laser Treatment for stretch marks. The laser treatment is administered using Palomar's Lux 1540 handpiece.

Stretch marks afflict 90% of women. That's a drastic statistic. So it's about time that the industry began to offer effective stretch mark treatment through the most effective removal tool on the market. As mentioned previously, pregnancy is a leading cause of stretch marks. But it's not the only cause. Other causes include: weight gain, hormonal changes and puberty.

The Palomar Lux 1540 handpiece has been used in clinical studies and results post treatment showed 51 to 75% improvement. Treatments using the Palomar Lux 1540 are comfortable and cause only minimal disruption to the individual's day to day life during treatment.

Stretch marks are often in unnoticeable places; places that are normally covered by clothing. This means that many see stretch marks as something that is easily hidden; something they should hide. And this makes them easily ignored. But even while they are being ignored they lower self esteem and confidence levels in a majority of individuals. The approval of the Palomar Lux 1540 as the first Fractional Laser Treatment for stretch marks means that cosmetic procedural centers can now offer effective stretch mark removal...avoiding the situation entirely rather than continuing to hide it.
