Strip Clubs: Tips For Women Accompanying Their Men

Strip clubs are more mainstream than they have ever been

. What was once the exclusive domain of only a specific portion of the population and often located in a seedy club in a less-than-desirable area of town has become big business. Some of the nicest ones look as though they were designed for a Hollywood premiere and not for girls to get on stage to take their clothes off. With this mainstreaming has come a broadening of the clientele. Instead of sneaking off with their guy friends one Friday night, men now bring their women along. While this can be a perfectly healthy way to explore your sexuality as a couple and introduce yourself to adventure, the fun can be enhanced if you stick to some basic guidelines. For the women out there who aren't opposed to joining their men, here are some tips.

Don't Be Jealous

Strip clubs are no place for jealousy. Unless you hit the seediest dive in town, the women on stage are almost guaranteed to look better, dance better, and be sexier than you are (in the most classical and objective senses of the word). This can inspire jealousy and even anger in women who aren't confident in themselves. Remember: no matter how she acts, the dancer is not remotely interested in stealing your boyfriend or husband. She's there to work and nothing more.

You're Not a Stripper

Some women come in with the opposite notion. Not only aren't they jealous, they get a few drinks in them, but then suddenly realize they've missed their calling in life. If you decide during the course of the night that strip clubs are your destiny, feel free to wait for an amateur night or start gathering what you need for an audition. Do not, however, get up and begin your own routine. The DJ will quickly shoot you down and it will be an embarrassing situation for all involved.

Remember to Tip

Just because you are only there as a passive customer, you aren't excused from the etiquette recognized at strip clubs around the country. Unless you have your nose in your phone, you're watching the dancers. You owe them your entertainment dollar. It's not like going to a restaurant, where one person can tip for two. You need to make the effort yourself or you're going to quickly feel a chill.

Follow the Rules

Some strip clubs are more permissive in what they allow their female customers to do, particularly regarding how they interact with the dancers. Don't assume this, though. Many establishments are equal opportunity when it comes to these rules. Know them and don't attempt to go further than you're allowed.
