Young peoples attempts to deny the wisdom of the previous generations are explained in one of the dialectical laws. The problem of generation gap will never lose its topicality. O tempora! O mores would exclaim a medieval man, looking at contemporary students. So do their parents and educators. However, the latter could at least try to narrow the gap and view the peculiarities of the student culture from a new perspective. Certainly, some of the elements of hip hop culture are aimed at voicing protest against the generally accepted society norms. Actually, this goal is reached successfully. Young people want to shock the older generation with their clothing style and music and in most cases they manage to do it.

For the purpose of narrowing the generation gap, adults could recollect the times of their own youth. Their music and lifestyle was criticized by their parents as well. Still, they are inclined to commit the same mistakes with their children. Perhaps, culture of hip hop generation crosses certain borders. Still, it is the young peoples attempt to realize their potential and improve their self-presentation skills. As the time passes, the clothing style, make up and behavioral characteristics would be changed and the culture of contemporary students would become history. At present, its representatives have to struggle for an opportunity for self-expression.

1.Evaluating the phenomenon of hip hop culture, the age and behavioral characteristics of its representatives need to be taken into consideration.

2.It is preferable to point at both positive and negative sides of hip hop culture. It would be helpful for sounding more objective.

3.Adults should support their children and give a piece of advice instead of criticizing their music preferences, clothing and make up styles.
