The economy of the city is usually closely connected with the university activity. Thus, there are university shops, hospitals and libraries. Some cities can also have a university printing houses and business incubators. The political, social and cultural life of the city is closely connected with the university's activities.

Life at the university town is a bit different from a common one. Even the atmosphere is different.

It was founded in 1167 around the Oxford University. It used to be a center for learning and culture.

Due to its long history, this city has a great number of historical buildings and ancient libraries. One of the most famous of these buildings are the Radcliffe Camera and the Bodleian Library.
