Student Rentals And Money Saving Amenities
When it comes to choosing student rentals, there are a variety of properties and locations available
. Some have more amenities than others so it is worth taking the time to look into each option and choose one that suits a student's specific needs. While the college experience centers on education, cost is an issue that needs to be addressed. Here are several money saving amenities that could make a difference.
Transportation:
While student rentals are often located nearby the local college or university, in many cases, a vehicle is necessary to get back and forth from campus. The cost of a vehicle is not always in the budget as there are car payments, insurance and even registration expenses that slowly add up, not to mention the cost of gas. Some locations offer free transportation to and from school in the form of a shuttle that runs daily on a set schedule. Once a routine is established, residents can pick up a little extra study time on the way over.
Entertainment:
Books and studying may be important but everyone needs a break from the homework, essays and reading assignments. Student rentals often offer different forms of entertainment for students. Total up the cost of going to see a movie at the theater and then meeting friends to go play pool for a few hours. This "outing" could be fairly costly on an average student's budget.
Student rentals often have these types of amenities as part of their package. They come with a movie theater that all of the residents can use. They offer clubhouses and rooms where people can participate in a competitive game of pool. Look for a location that offers its own source of entertainment. While a person may still want to go out every once in a while, there is still a lot to do close to home.
Fitness and Recreation:
A gym membership keeps the body fit. The monthly expense is often something that students can't afford. Check to see if the student rentals have a gym on the property that is free to residents. Most of the time people can come and go as they please, using the facilities as much or as little as they want. There is no need to drive to a local gym or sign a contract when the equipment is walking distance away. A swimming pool is another great source of activity.
Look for a location with plenty of recreation opportunities close by. This could be plenty of open spaces for tossing around a ball or hanging out with friends. It could also be a lake with all of the resources necessary to go out and fish or paddle around in a boat. Again, these may not have a lot to do with school and studying but they can enhance a person's educational experience.
