Student Social Spaces Offered By Sarah Lawrence College

Considering students life in college, most people think about two main options

, education and entertainment. Education is an essential part of students life as it is the main reason for students to enter the college. Different entertaining parties and gatherings are also important as they help students get to know each other better, involve them in communicational process. Thus, those items mentioned above are not the only opportunities students may use. College life is incredible and offers great deal of opportunities for students.

Thinking about student social spaces, most people may think about Facebook. It is impossible to reject this variant as Facebook is one of the most popular global social spaces on the Internet. Still, it is important to remember that different colleges offer different facilities for their people, and student social spaces which remain the crucial part of student life in college are not an exception.

For example, Sarah Lawrence College offers the following student social spaces, namely Slonim House, The Ruth Leff Siegel Center, and Bates Center for Student Life.

Slonim House is a special place that gives students an opportunity to provide communicational hours, poetry readings on different topics, hold meetings connected to student-run problems, attend informal presentations, do home tasks and have celebrations. This social space attracts many students.

The Ruth Leff Siegel Center is another student social space that is aimed at providing students with entertaining activities. Being available only for the students of the college, the facility helps students collaborate with each other creating one big family. Different social activities may be conducted here.

Bates Center for Student Life is one more student social space offered by Sarah Lawrence College. It is considered to be the center for student life. Post office, the Student Senate, space for parties and performances are located here.

In conclusion, student social spaces have the main purpose to make students communicate and lead a full life in the society they live.
