. From the one hand, it is expected to harden their will. On the other hand, instead of solving their financial and housing problems, students could devote more time to the learning process. Students' unions appear to be the connector of the learners and the University authorities. Fortunately, it is the place where everyone can speak and be heard. Students should not hesitate to turn to the unions asking for their advice and support in various situations. It is important to raise the students' awareness of the main functions of the students' unions. The fact is that lack of knowledge is one of the main reasons for which learners are afraid to ask for the unions' protection. Not everyone knows that advocacy is one of the main responsibilities of the members of the students' unions. Going from one extreme to another, some students turn to the unions having problems with library fines, professor's deadlines or discipline at a dormitory. Those who consider the unions to be a universal cure are in the wrong. They can neither abolish punishment nor reduce it. Benefits of students' unions 1.Though young ideas are often better than old ones, student rarely have an opportunity to express their opinions. Fortunately, a person may come to the meeting of a union and offer certain measures for improving the students' living standards. Another way is to express one's ideas in written form. 2.A student union is a place where students can share their experience. Adopting the experience of senior students might be beneficial for improving one's learning achievements. 3.Students' unions are connecters between the student community and the college authorities.
