Study: Geraniin, extract of Phyllanthus amarus plant
, kills HIV cells
Researchers at the China Medical University's College of Pharmacy in Taiwan have found that Geraniin is able to "effectively inhibit HIV-1 replication." (1) This advance in HIV research is excellent news, as the Global Health Council projects that "in 2008, 2.7 million people were newly infected with the virus." (1)
Geraniin is a tannin chemical found in the plant Phyllanthus amarus. The authors of the study state about Geraniin that "A gallotannin enriched fraction showed enhanced activity (0.4 microg/ml), and the purified gallotannins geraniin and corilagin were most active (0.24 microg/ml)." (1) In assays of the Geraniin compound, at 2.5 mg/ml concentration, scientists were able to observe 70-75% inhibition of virus uptake. (1)
This highly active compound was found as research on natural products has revealed solutions in treating and preventing HIV-1 infection. One such natural product is Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex, a supplement that includes Geraniin. The development of Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex was inspired by Dr. Hanan Polansky's theory on the cause of chronic viruses. According to Dr. Polansky's theory, the cause of most diseases is the DNA of latent viruses. In line with Dr. Polansky's theory, many studies showed that Geraniin has a dietary, anti-HIV effect, which nicely explains the effects observed in recent studies.
Gene-Eden-For-Safer-Sex includes Geraniin. But Gene-Eden-For-Safer-Sex is more than just Geraniin. In addition to Geraniin, Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex includes five other natural ingredients; Quercetin, Licorice Extract, Cinnamon Extract, Selenium and Curcumin Extract. All of these compounds excel at killing invading viruses. According to the authors of the study, "the ability to inhibit replication of a variety of RT inhibitor-resistant HIV-1 strains points to the potential of P. amarus extracts, as natural products, in the chemotherapy of HIV infections." (1) Along with other safe sex practices, Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex reduces the risk of acquiring sexually transmitted diseases (STD's), like HIV. If you are interested in enhancing your protection against STD's, you may want to take Gene-Eden For-Safer-Sex on a regular basis.

About:
The Center for the Biology of Chronic Disease (CBCD, http://www.cbcd.net) is a research center recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) non-for-profit organization. The mission of the CBCD is to advance the research on the biology of chronic diseases, and to accelerate the discovery of treatments for these diseases. The CBCD published the "Purple" book by Dr. Hanan Polansky. The book presents Dr. Polansky's highly acclaimed scientific theory of the relationship between the DNA of latent (chronic) viruses and the onset of chronic diseases. Dr. Polansky's book can be freely downloaded from the CBCD website.
