Study: Tea Polyphenols Kill HPV-Positive Cervical Cancer Cells

Chemicals in tea can stop the Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and prevent cervical cancer.

Researchers at the Indian Institute of Toxicology Research Council of Scientific and Industrial Research have found that Green and Black Tea Polyphenols (GTP & BTP) are able to kill HPV-positive cervical cancer cells. The authors of the study state that "tea polyphenols exhibit anti-cancer potential against cervical cancer by inhibition of cell growth and induction of apoptosis." (1) Apoptosis is programmed cell death, which means the tea polyphenols make harmful HPV-positive cervical cancer cells destroy themselves before they become a tumor. This comes as good news for many women, as the Center for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) estimates that "the overall HPV prevalence was 26.8%...among US females aged 14 to 59 years." (2)

For a few years, there has been a vaccine for HPV. Advertising of the vaccine was generally successful, as indicated by a CDC study that "awareness of HPV (84.3%) and of HPV vaccine (78.9%) was high." (3) However, use of the vaccine remains low as the dangers and risks of receiving it became known, where "girls and women have blamed the vaccine for causing ailments from nausea to paralysis -- even death." (4) With such health risks associated with the vaccine, there are safer and simpler alternatives for preventing and treating HPV, which is the primary cause of cervical cancer: use of tea polyphenol-containing health supplements.Study: Tea Polyphenols Kill HPV-Positive Cervical Cancer Cells

Gene-Eden is an antiviral supplement that includes green tea as its main ingredient. The development of Gene-Eden was inspired by Dr. Hanan Polansky's discovery that the cause of many cancers is the DNA of latent viruses, such as HPV. Tea polyphenols are effective against HPV & cervical cancer because of their antiviral properties. If you are concerned about HPV and cervical cancer, and wish to avoid the cost and risk of the HPV vaccine, you may want to try Gene-Eden.

For more information on Gene-Eden, go to http://www.Gene-Eden.com. Gene-Eden is available on Amazon.com.
