Studying If The Wii U And 3ds Xl Can Rescue Nintendo?

It seems as if lady luck hasn't been on Nintendo's side for the past few years

. Well, that's because the firm has been suffering from decrease in revenue year over year.

However, all of it just might change as the brand releases its new line-up of next generation gaming consoles by fall. The brand new Wii U and the 3DS XL are both set to be launched before the end of the year.

Although there have been many rumors and speculations on the actual date of release, the company has not revealed the exact date yet. Also, the official price tags for the new gaming consoles have not yet been announced.

Perhaps they will be revealing it a few weeks before the actual date of release. With the growing interest of the public, these new consoles could actually be the Japanese company's saving grace after all.

A lot of people know that the Japanese brand has not been doing very well in terms of revenue growth for the past few years. During the past 3-month period, the Japanese company was able to make 84.8 billion yen (US$1.08 billion) in revenue but still was not enough. Last year at the same period, they were able to generate 93.9 billion yen in revenue.

That means their revenue had a decline of almost 10 percent this year which is fairly big for a company to handle. At the same time, they also had to take a net loss of 17.2 billion yen (US$220 million) this year which is still less as compared to the 25.5 billion yen hit that they were able to take last year.

One of the factors that could have triggered this is the decreasing number of console sales. They were only able to sell 710,000 units worldwide during the 3-month period. Perhaps everything will dramatically change as soon as the new consoles are launched in the market by the end of the year.

Also, some old time favorite game titles will be made available to the new gaming consoles from the Japanese giant. Although Super Mario Bros. and Pikmin will surely make it to the line up, there will be so much more to look forward to.

Nintendo has been working with unique third party game developers to help them come up with new and exciting game titles this time. The Wii U is the first next generation gaming console in the market so it would be a shame to play boring games with it.

Ubisoft produced ZombiU for the new console so expect it to be one of the bestselling games for it. Also, it happens to be one of the most expensive games Ubisoft has developed for the Japanese brand and you'll see why.

Even if Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot said that his company didn't have a big investment in the new console, they are hoping for the best. ZombiU is definitely not just your average zombie shooter game.

There will be more new features to expect and see how the dual screen function will give you a whole new gaming experience. This new gaming console definitely has a lot of edge that every gaming enthusiast needs to consider.
