, uses a high voltage electronic charge to temporarily stop an attacker.it functions on one or two 9 volt batteries. It has a voltage of 85,000 to 625,000 volts. With one touch from the prong this device hit a punch that makes the attacker immoveable for several minutes causing loss of muscle conrol by the charge. This happens because by the charge the blood sugar of the attacker is rapidly converted into lactic acid and the neurological impulses get interrupted. There are many companies currently producing stun guns. Stun gun and stun baton is not same thing. A stun baton can be deadly due the effect of baton. It is not for personal use but a stun gun can be used personality for self defense purposes. Stun guns are also used by the police officers and security guards in different organizations. Stun guns are on average 86% effective and does not cause long lasting damage to the attacker. Tasers device is also one of the device of self protection but it is classified separately from stun guns. Taser device can be used while standing near the attacker by pressing it on the attackers skin. Self defense product industry has developed very much and has produced many self defense products in case of emergency use. By half second application it causes pain, by 1 to 2 second application it causes muscular spams, by the dose of 3 to 5 seconds it causes loss of balance and orientation and if it is applied for 5 seconds than it makes the attacker immoveable, unable to do anything. Stun gun is most effective self defense product as compared to all other products such as rape whistle, pepper spray etc.
