Guthrie Castle is a famous castle and country house in Angus, Scotland and located in the village of Guthrie, thus its name. It has a tower house which was built by Sir David Guthrie, the Treasurer and Lord Justice-General of Scotland in the 1400s. Sir Guthrie and his family later built the house beside the tower and later involved himself in expanding the estate with the help of David Bryce. This historic place remained with the Guthrie family until the death of Colonel Ivan Guthrie in 1983. A year later, business tycoon Daniel S. Pena Sr. restored the castle into its latest grand condition and opened it to the public for weddings, parties, group functions, bookings and its well-known seminars led by Mr. Pena himself.

Different wedding packages are offered at the Guthrie Castle. The Just the Two of You Package is for couples who wish to have a very intimate wedding day with two witnesses and a "Wedding Breakfast" with on the house wine and an overnight lodging in their 15th Century Guthrie Suite. The One Night and Two Night Intimate Packages are for couples who wish to spend the night with their guests on the manor and benefit from one or two nights' accommodation for up to 28 guests on the estate. Breakfasts are served to the couple and the guests for both days. They also offer One and Two Nights' accommodation for pairs who are inviting up to 200 guests with the exclusive use of the Grand Pavilion and the Unlimited use of the 9 hole "Laird's Course". A Chauffeur driven Bentley is also provided for the couple to use to and from the Castle within Scotland.
