Successful Aviation Interviewing
The first hurdle will be to agree the date of your interview
, please no bartering!
Take whatever is offered, move hell and high water to make this interview.
Always give yourself sufficient time to arrive at the interview, spec out the venue from a distance and then go for a coffee, with time to spare you can relax.
To arrive 10 minutes early is perfect.
To arrive 10 minutes late is disaster, do not get caught out!
Airlines want cabin crew who know how to be punctual and do not take kindly late comers. On time departure OTP is a key challenge which many airlines proudly rise to.
If you have never been for a Cabin Crew interview you may be surprised as what will happen. One thing is sure - it will not be a quite relaxed sit down affair. HR (Human Resources) have developed techniques to discover very quickly if you have an outgoing personality which will suit the role of cabin crew.
It is not possible to over prepare for your interview!
The more information the better, make sure that you have studied the airline of your choice, that you know the routes they fly and the aircraft they operate.
The initial process will see you in a large group of people, receiving a group interview because of the volume of people. This technique is designed to prune the numbers, possibly during or before this stage you will be required to complete a detailed application so to make sure you have all the information with you, plus identification your passport, plus several passport photographs, it is always worthwhile to be prepared.
When you complete applications (for sure you may have to fill many ) take photocopies and keep them with you, such information will only serve you well when you are filling in yet more such documentation. If you make it through the group interview stage, you may achieve a 1 on 1 or panel interview.
If you make it this far, youre in good shape, so stick with it.
At this stage they have sized you up and are trying to get beneath your skin to understand you temperament and character, do you have what it takes to handle the job of cabin crew.
