Get on with your life

Reconnect with your girlfriends/guy friends

Rediscover yourself - find a new hobby

When you run into your ex or a member of his or her family, be sure and say complimentary things about him or her without going overboard.

Reclaim the self-esteem you let linger in the relationship (we all do it!). Believe it or not, in time your ex will notice that you haven't reached out to him or her or his or her family and friends. He or she will notice that you are no longer playing kamikaze texting or calling. He or she will notice when he or she sees you, either from a distance or bumps into you, that you've changed. He or she won't be able to quite describe the change - is this physical or mental or what? But a change will be obvious to him or her. How do I know all this?
