Apply it frequently around your eyes but be careful not to get it in them. If you don't apply it around your eyes you may end up looking like a panda bear. If you wear glasses, this becomes especially important. Nearsighted people tend to brown the fastest around the eyes because of the way their glasses are shaped, so using sunglasses may be the best option.
Choosing the right shade of foundation is important. If you have an olive colored skin then you may need to change your foundation based on the time of year since people with darker skin and lighter skin don't seem to have this problem. Since you will sweat under the hot summer sun, using a water based foundation is not a good idea. Most people won't have an issue since many foundation makeups do not contain water.
If you like the way your makeup is currently, you should try to replicate it for other seasons of the year. The simplest way to do it is to put focus to your lips. You can easily put lip gloss over your lipstick to make an impact. This will serve to keep your lips fresh and delicious even when it's blistering hot outside. Makeup blush can also tone down the way your face looks. Using pastel tones that suit your skin will serve this well.
The darker blush tones you might wear in winter will just look too heavy for summer, and because we tend to flush more easily in hot weather, you will not need as intense of a blush color as you would in winter. Eye color will not require as much of a change as lipstick or blush.
