The countdown for Asias biggest music festival has begun
, and its time to gear-up for the music mania in Mumbai, starting 6th April at 4 pm and continuing its rhythm till 2 am on April 8th at Hotel Tulip Star, in Juhu.
Sunburn Festival 2012 is all set to dazzle with its fascinating, star studded artiste line-up and the promise of non-stop excitement for all those electronic dance music fans out there. Those who missed the action last year can capture its magic this year of course, the performances may also be seen broadcasted live on YouTube, in across 120 countries around the globe.
For those who came in late, Sunburn is an Electronic Dance Music Festival held over a three day period in December, in Goa. First begun in 2007, it is a melange of music and entertainment, coupled with food and shopping. The festival has elevated Indias position in the global music scene and has established the country as a major Dance Festival destination. Catering to a vast audience of Indian and international music enthusiasts, it brings together renowned DJs, both Indian and international, to rock the crowds with their music.
This is the fifth year since the inception of the Sunburn Festival, and the destination for this year is Mumbai, the nerve centre for entertainment in the country. And its not just music, on two electrifying stages, which will be the highlight of the festival. There promises to be huge ground-breaking technological displays in addition to featuring tech-gizmos such as spray guns, 3D projection mapping, LED mesh, among others.
Percept, the Sunburn organizer, has announced the artiste line-up for the
Sunburn Mumbai 2012, and the electronic dance music event will be featuring some internationally sought out names such as Israeli psychedelic trance DJ Skazi, Egyptian trance duo Aly and Fila, Dutch psychedelic trance duo GMS and British trance DJ Gareth Emery, among others.
The sheer number of enthusiastic takers for such an event has been clearly indicated by the fact that the early bird passes for the festival all sold out, according to the official website, within seven hours on 1st March 2012.
Sunburn Summerfest Tickets are now available at Rs 4,800 for the regular three-day passes, while the VIP three-day passes cost Rs 7,600, with taxes extra. The regular tickets include 3 day access across all the stages in the festival, while the VIP tickets include 3 days access to the VIP area, and allow free entry to the After Dark Parties.
