Superstitions While Exam Passing. Do They Really Work?

Passing of exams is always a troublesome thing

. It takes a lot of physical and mental energy, making poor students to go crazy. But there is a positive effect as well. Exams teach young people to be more responsible to their actions not only while studying but in everyday life too.

Methods of exam passing

There is a huge variety of different methods and secrets of successful exam passing. Different students choose variants the most convenient and suitable for their needs and desires. Some students work hard during the curriculum year in order to spend less time while exam preparation. Some use general advices for effective preparation. But there is a special category of students who use exclusive techniques. This secret method is called superstitions.

The most widely spread superstitions

From country to country the superstitions change as change characters of students because of mentality, peculiarities of educational process, cultural traditions and another various factors.

As Americans are considered to be the most churchgoing nation on the globe, American students prefer to go to church and pray just on the eve of exam. The other numeral superstitions such as not wearing clothes of some color or eating special food appeared because of pure coincidence in someones life. One accidental success they begin to consider as good luck chance.

The students of European and post-Soviet countries differ from their American colleagues not much. Here are some of their superstitions.

1)At midnight before the exam open the window, shake the student record book and say Come to me, freebies! Then shut the window and go to bed.

2)During exam passing wear the same clothes.

3)Do not cut hair, do not shave.

4)If you did not attend lectures, know nothing and even do not remember the color of necessary book, learn at least the name of professor who will be tour examiner.
