It is the dream of many to own a superyacht and, for some, this prospect becomes a reality.

This is true for the owner of such a boat named the Northern Star, which has been featured in the Superyacht Times.

Completed in October last year, the vessel stands at an impressive 75 by 40 metres and is designed for extensive and extended cruising in Arctic or tropical waters.

According to the publication, the "very experienced owner" has years behind him as an ocean racing and cruising sailor.

He therefore demanded "top notch" design and engineering so that he, his guests and his crew could make the most of their times at sea.

There are many features of the boat, including its impressive accommodation modules and its watertight doors.

The watertight doors are located in a range of places, including between the tender garage and the aft platform.

Meanwhile, the accommodation modules are spacious and luxurious.

Commenting on the building of the vessel, the publication noted: "The owner's captain, Craig Franks and the team around yacht broker Robert Moran of Moran Yacht and Ship supervised the project and brought in their huge spectrum of experience and consolidated knowledge."

The ship has a very traditional appearance and has a total of six decks, offering the 12 people who can stay on the boat plenty of space.

Meanwhile, indoors the vessel was described as similar to a grand country home and it is light and airy, with plenty of traditional features and space for books to be stored.

In addition, the whole of the interior is panelled with raised and field limed oak, which has been either painted in pastel shades or left with a natural finish.

While this form of travelling the ocean may not be everyone's preference, it certainly seems to have satisfied the owner in this case.
