In China, the consumption of silver is rationed in a planned way by the People"s Bank of China

. Since the 1990s the foreign exchange spent on importing non-forged and semi-finished silver has decreased drastically, from US $ 98.38 million in 1986 down to US $ 7.717 million in 1994. This decrease indicates that China is basically self-sufficient in silver. It is estimated that the annual consumption of silver at present is about 1,000 tons. The annual silver output of over 1,000 tons shows that the production and the demand are balanced on the whole in China. However, it should be noticed that the silver consumption of China is far lower than that of economically developed countries and that the consumption structure is quite different from that of those countries. For example, the annual consumption of silver is about 4,000 tons in the United States or Japan and 50%~60% of it is used for sensitive materials (only about 20% in China). In 1949 the silver mining industry of China entered a new stage and either silver reserves or output leapt to the leading place in the world due to effective geological exploration and mine construction in the past 50 years. China has abundant silver resources and favorable ore-forming conditions. Up to date 569 silver ore districts have been explored. Some large or superlarge silver deposits of high economic value will be further discovered in seven metallogenic provinces lying respectively in the Da Hinggan area, the northern margin of the North China platform, the Qinling-Qilian area, coastal areas of Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong, South China, East Yunnan and the Sanjiang area as long as more efforts are made in the study of metallogeny and geological exploration.As the professional manufacturer of complete sets of mining machinery, such as mobile crushing station,cement plant, Henan Hongxing is always doing the best in products and service. At present a large number of silver bases of high production capacity have been built in China, such as the Fankou Mine in Guangdong, Poshan Mine in Henan and Yindongzi Mine in Shaanxi. The deposits discovered in recent years, such as the Jiawula and Qagan Bulagen Ag deposits in Inner Mongolia, Baojia Ag-Pb-Zn deposit in Jiangxi, Fenghuangshan Ag deposit in Guangxi and Bainiuchang Ag-polymetallic deposit in Yunnan. Each of them has silver reserves of more then 1,000 tons. There are fairly good external and internal conditions for the construction of these deposits, so they are expected to become new silver production bases of China.
