Exported textile mostly goes to Middle East countries and usually has ornamented designs which are there used for sarees.

From this city are supplied all major textile markets across India such are Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Cochin, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. It is the oldest and the second largest industry in Surat. During the last 5 years textile industry in Surat grown for over 5% and that is why Surat has an important place in Indian economy growth.
