Sydney Australia- Where Are The Kangaroos?

It is so funny how all of the advertising for Sydney

, Australia has kangaroos in it. Well, of course there are many kangaroos and joeys hopping around this wonderful land but when you get off the plane you are not on a dry dirt surface with kangaroos hopping about but instead you are landing in one of the most wonderful cities that you are likely to ever experience.

Sydney is a full on metropolis and while Australia probably gets the kangaroo because of all the uninhabited regions of land mass throughout the country, in the regions that most people visit you will find there are some wild life areas and zoos but for the most part you will be in a city, one that is filled with deluxe 5-star hotels, incredible restaurants with cuisine from all around the world, and lovely boutique shopping. That's right even in Australia the cities are real and the kangaroos don't hop down the street.

It can be hard to think of a great metropolis in the middle of Australia, but Sydney is one of the largest, if not the largest city, in Australia. It is full of wonderful sounds of the Sydney Opera House, spectacular views over the city, museums and cultural events. Sydney is a real city and although there are many tourist attractions throughout the region, you may find that you are eager to venture into more desolate areas of Australia around this amazing city to take some natural wonders of the region as well.

Sydney is a beautiful city and the surrounding area beaches and rainforest terrain can make this a holiday of both manmade intrigue and natural adventures. It is a wonderful mix of everything that makes a big city and everything makes a beautiful natural holiday setting all in one. If you plan to make this holiday about seeing both sides of Sydney then you may wish to stay in two different hotels. One that is everything about the city and centrally located and then you may wish to rent a vehicle and stay at a little out of the way bed and breakfast while you explore the great outdoors.

Australia is a great place to take a multifaceted holiday, combining the best of city life and nature within a very small region. Keep in mind that when you land in Sydney you will not be completely surrounded by Aussie kangaroos but if you want to travel a little outside of the city you will be able to get up close and personal with them.
