The reason for this is that your tear glands become hyper-activated after being dried for a long time.

Tears have certain constituents that even neutralize the defective bacteria from harming your eyes.

Unlike, in the normal conditions, the production of tears in your eyes reduces or the tears produced are different as such, they contain constituents that compel the tears to evaporate speedily. Other than these, there are many more causes of dry eyes infection. Normally, dry eyes take place citing the ageing process of an individual. Along with the increase in age, its occurrence is frequent and especially, in case of women, who are in the menopausal stage.
Another factor that gives rise to dry eyes is the excessive use of antibiotics namely blood pressure drugs, birth regulation pills and Parkinson's disease medications. In fact, hormone irregularities in one's body may also cause dry eyes.
