The Circus Hotel

The Circus Hotel

We stayed for 3 days in a junior suite. The room was spacious, modern, with great colors, comfortable bed and trendy furniture. Everything was new (it's been only a year since Circus Hotel opened) and cozy. They offer a lot of different services like room service, laundry service, I-pod, internet, sightseeing and others. Many of them are for free. The breakfast wasn't including in the price. The staff was exceptional apart from a mistake they did with our reservation. When we made the reservation we asked for a junior suite but at the time was not possible to book one so we booked a double room. When we arrived, they accommodate us in a junior suite WITHOUT informing us! So, we only realized the fact in check-out when they asked for more money than we had agreed! The 98 Euros per night was a good value for money for the junior suite but that does not excuse the staff. In any case it worth's visiting!

The Ritz-Carlton, Berlin

The hotel was phenomenal. The service began when we arrived across the street and continued to the sandwiches they packed us for the train to Copenhagen. The facilities were immaculate. We had a gorgeous view of Potsdamer Platz from the living room and the staff went so far out of its way that they uncovered places my husband remembered from the early 90's with nothing more than a vague description from him. This was perhaps the best experience I have had in a hotel yet. The only disappointment was leaving.

Melia Berlin

We chose this hotel mainly because of the location as we had stayed in Freidrichstrasse previously. We were delighted! The room was huge with a massive bed and a beautiful bathroom. Only one small disappointment, no tea/coffee making facitlies but super food is just next door and there was no problem bringing a cup in to the room at the end of a long day visiting the sights.

I'd recommend it to all. It's just off the main drag (Unter den Linden) and is close to a great S-bahn station, but anyone who's been to Germany knows the public transport is tip top anyway!

The rooms are well sized with a double bed, TV, storage space and a functional bathroom.

Breakfast was too expensive for us to have (about 30 Euros for 2!!) but there are plenty of cafes along Friedrichstrasse and in the station.

The staff/concierge was very helpful and basically I can't fault this place! It's well within walking distance of the Brandenburg Gate and other main tourist sights.
