Table top trees make a beautiful, simple alternative to larger Christmas trees
For anyone who has the desire to celebrate the spirit of Christmas but lacks the room
, holiday decorating can be a challenge. But, it certainly does not have to be impossible.
From a table top tree to a Christmas village, decorating for Christmas can happen in the smallest of places. Try the following ideas on for size:
Table Top Tree: A table top tree is a great way to decorate for Christmas without the hassle of a large Christmas tree. Not only does a table top tree take up minimal space, it also frees you from the tasks that come with a real Christmas tree, such as watering and removing shedding needles. A table top tree is perfect for a small living room or an apartment. It gives you the ability to celebrate the holidays without using all the room in your house.
Fire Place Mantle: A fireplace mantle is a great place for holiday decoration. With a little imagination it can be transformed into a Christmas village. Using cotton for snow, adding in some lights, and topping it off with ornamental houses or train sets, a fireplace mantle makes decorating for Christmas creative and original. It also limits the amount of space used.
Outdoor Christmas tree: For those who don't have room for a traditional Christmas tree, a backyard tree can suffice. While it might not be smart to store gifts under this tree, in fear of thievery and weather, a backyard tree is a perfect place for traditional Christmas decoration. If this is the holiday decoration route you chose to go, be sure to use ornaments and lights that can survive the outside elements.
Christmas Plant: When you think of traditional Christmas decoration, you probably don't think of a Christmas plant. But, for those who don't have room for a tree, a plant makes a viable option. Decorating a house plant with some lights and ornaments may be all you need to keep the Christmas spirit alive and well in your home.
Random Decorating: Decorating for Christmas does not need to be limited to the eave of a roof or a tree in the front room. Decorating for Christmas is only limited by the decorator's imagination. If you don't have room for a tree, decorate wherever you can. Hang holiday decorations from the walls, from bookcases, from the ceiling. Take traditional Christmas decoration and make it your own.
