Do not let your break up make you insane. Yes it will be a very trying time to go through as you experience all the emotional ups and downs. Yet you must take control of your life after the break up to keep yourself on track. It can be easy to let your self go as you worry over what has happened.
First thing you must consider is trying to not communicate with your ex at first. Leave them alone for now as you try to deal with this. Remember they are going through the same thing as you even if they broke up with you. They may be experiencing guilt or remorse over this.
If you have any thoughts of ever trying to get them back, this advice is even more important. Contacting them too soon and begging them to come back or whatever it may be, might wind up causing another fight. This may reduce the chance of getting them back in the future.
Do not sit home worrying and feeling sorry for yourself. This will not help you get over your emotional state. You need to get out of the house and try to enjoy yourself, meet with your friends and go out. Spend time with your family if you have not seen much of them. Being with your family and friends will help you not think about your break up as much.
Self improvement is also a good thing to work on after a break up. Try a new hairstyle, lose weight or buy some new clothes. Your self esteem is hurt and doing something for you, especially if it makes improvements can be very important in your recovery.
