Take Control of Your Hair Loss
Don't let hair loss kick you around
Don't let hair loss kick you around. You have several options for dealing with your receding hairline. Science has discovered ways for you to regain the hair you may have already lost. You can even prevent losing your hair in the first place. The important thing to remember, if you are staring at your rapidly emerging scalp in the mirror, is that you are not the only man who has to deal with this. Here are some things you can do, and shouldn't do, to cope with hair loss.
Halt on dyeing your hair. Hair dye is traditionally associated with women but men are no strangers to that particular bottle. Dyeing your hair too much can weaken it and make it too easy for your scalp to shed it. In truth, for some people who dye their hair too often, their hair can fall out altogether. This is why you should learn to accept your given hair color. If you have seen that your hair is beginning to thin, you should not choose the dye bottle, instead you should choose a strengthening shampoo bottle or discuss it with your doctor. If shaving your head seems too drastic you can always opt to cover up your hair loss by wearing a hat. This is usually the first thing men will do to deal with a receding hairline. If this is going to be your first course of action make sure you find a good hat. Because you will need to wear it in many different situations, your hat should be versatile. You might even purchase a few different styles just to keep yourself covered (sorry for the pun). Buy hats made with light weight material to maximize your head's ability to breathe during wear. Allowing your head to breathe inside your hat will keep it from stinking as bad as sweaty feet.
The most straight forward option is to simply accept that you are losing your hair. Others have dealt with this issue and are currently dealing with it. This is an issue that has been dealt with by others before and it will continue to be an issue. Being bald will not affect your ability to be successful. Best advice: do what you can to look as good as you can while going through the process of losing your hair. Not fighting it will garner the respect of those around you as well as making you feel better. Men's hair loss is something that affects a lot of men at some point or another in their lifetimes. Learning to live with being entirely bald is the fate of some men. Still others will choose to go bald soon after losing their first hair to avoid the natural thinning process. Either way, know that you are not alone. All men worry about the hair they have and the hair that they might lose.
